How do you select who sits in each CEO Circle?
Every CEO Circle is different, with its own group dynamic and we take great care to ensure that new members represent the right 'fit' with the existing membership.
Each new member is met by the Managing Director and CEO of The CEO Circle®. The aim of the meeting is to gain an understanding as to why they have joined The CEO Circle, what they would like to achieve from their membership and what industries they are interested in. We also discuss personal and professional interests, background and experience and most importantly challenges and achievements. The size and scale of their organisation is also another factor in finding the right 'fit'.
Shaping the membership of each group is one of the key roles of The CEO Circle® and is taken very seriously.
Who are the Chairmen of The CEO Circle?
The CEO Circle appoints independent chairmen to lead, inspire and guide each of The CEO Circles. These chairmen are drawn from the wider business community and are selected for their facilitation skills, knowledge and experience. They are senior business figures, and the majority hold a number of directorships. Their role in The CEO Circle is to offer guidance and support.
How many members in each of The CEO Circles?
Each of The CEO Circle® groups are exclusive and intimate. A typical CEO Circle group meeting has between 6 to 10 members in attendance.
What if I cannot get to a meeting?
Despite the fact that our members make it a priority to attend their respective CEO Circle meetings, urgent issues do arise from time to time. To offset this, members are encouraged to attend meetings of other CEO Circles and make up for what they have missed. This flexibility and openness is central to our philosophy of promoting wider dialogue between like-minded leaders not just around the country but around the world and is welcomed by all members and chairs of The CEO Circle globally. Of course conflicts of interest are avoided and the groups remain non competitive.
Who determines what is discussed in THE CEO Circle® meeting?
There is a set agenda at every meeting. What is included in that agenda is determined by the respective chairman and the members of that CEO Circle. The agenda is however a living and breathing document and the group determines what direction the meeting will take.
